Abstract The article presents the results of a research morphometric and hydrological characteristics Lake Bol’shoe Svyatoe Dedovskoe Maloe Dedovskoe, which are landscape center state natural monument “Lake Dedovskoe”. lakes located in north-west Volga upland Nizhny Novgorod region; it has meaningful scientific (zoological, botanical, geological, geomorphological) significance, performs water-regulating function, serves as habitat for rare species plants animals. During bathymetric survey was performed from boat using an echo sounder, combined with navigator. field were processed, geoinformation program QGIS, map lake basins created their main calculated. Based on analysis data features its surroundings, conclusions drawn about origin basin.
